The minimum OS version at Automated Device Enrollment has received a revamp. It now uses the publicly available catalog from Apple's CDN. The desired minimum version is now picked via a dropdown that populates from that catalog. Additionally, a KEEP TO LATEST option is available so you can set and forget about the setting your ADE configuration so that any new enrollments always force the device up to the latest available from the OS catalog from Apple.

Limit the Number of Prebuilt App Notifications to One Every 4 or 8 Hours.

This release limits the amount of Prebuilt App notifications to sending a notification for only one app every 4 or 8 hours (depending on what is configured in the policy settings). If a device is in multiple policies with Prebuilt Apps configured with conflicting settings - the most restrictive setting (4 hours) will be respected regardless of inheritance. This change does not affect behavior for closed apps.

Previously we would notify once for each open app, every 4 or 8 hours, causing notification fatigue.

Validate iOS Benchmark Profile Deployment Before Reporting Compliance

iOS benchmark compliance now waits for confirmation that the profile was successfully installed on the device before reporting compliant. Previously, a device was marked compliant as soon as the profile was sent, which could hide install failures caused by policy conflicts or missing dependent keys.

This gives a more accurate view of iOS compliance and supports upcoming iOS Conditional Access functionality.

Heads up: some iOS devices that currently show as compliant may switch to non-compliant after this update. The new status reflects the actual install state of the profile. Resolving the underlying install issue (for example, a conflicting policy setting) will return the device to compliant.

MDM Profiles has been updated to Device Settings across the Addigy UI. This is a name change only. All functionality, workflows, and capabilities remain exactly the same for deployment of MDM Profiles. Added functionality of Declaration Objects will be coming in an upcoming release. With this change you will be able to deploy both MDM Profiles and Declaration objects to any device that supports them in a Policy.

Note: To continue deploying MDM Profiles no action is required on your part. Any existing MDM Profiles saved as Device Settings are unaffected by this rename.

Prebuilt apps now appear in the Addigy Assist onboarding experience, giving users visibility into what’s being installed on their Mac and allowing them to track installation progress in real time.

Support for Installing iOS Apps on macOS Silicon Devices

This release supports the installation of iOS apps on macOS Silicon devices on machines running macOS 11+. To toggle on the installation go to Policy > Software > Apple Apps and toggle Install on MacOS.

Implement "do_not_use_profile_from_backup" Key for iOS 26+ in the Service

When using iOS/iPadOS device local backups via USB there can be issues restoring backups with iOS/iPadOS 26+ because OS 26 change behavior the that is forcing restoring the enrollment profile to devices. This release adds the do_not_use_profile_from_backup key so device backups can be restored WITHOUT the enrollment profile to allow for enrollment of other devices etc. with apps and device data from old/loaner/etc. devices.

Prior to this release if an MDM Profile was in a policy but was originally deployed through a one-off workflow (like GoLive or Assist) prior to the device being in the Policy of the Profile being added to the policy, removing the device from said Policy with the profile in question will not remove the profile. This release makes a logic change so the removal any relevant policy-deployed profiles when a device is unassigned from the policy regardless of initial deployment methodology.

When an Apple Apps token is uploaded to Addigy we will check whether the Token is in another MDM server- if it is we will display a warning that the token is in use in another server, what the token location is, and to confirm that it has been removed from that server. An Apple Apps token should only be in one MDM server at a time, or there could be interruptions to the application deployment.

iOS and iPadOS 26 and up have moved the IMEI value to the servicesubscriptions array in the Device Info. With this release OS 26+ will pull both IMEI values (1 and 2) from the servicesubscriptions vs. IMEI 1 from Device info as done historically, and IEMI 2 from the servicesubscriptions as it only ever existed there.

Update and Add to the Age Rating System for Apps in Restrictions Profile

App ratings have been adjusted to align with this new system and will be reflected on Apple devices running a minimum of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26, and watchOS 26. The updated age rating system adds 13+, 16+, and 18+ to the existing 4+ and 9+ ratings for macOS 15 and older and iOS/iPadOS 18 and older.

Going forward, all Microsoft Office updates, including Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word, should be managed using Prebuilt Apps. This change provides a more reliable and unified experience for deploying and updating Office apps. For more information, see the deprecation notice.

Addigy Identity v3.0.0 Beta 7

This is a new beta release for the Identity beta program. If you are enrolled and have the beta enabled in your Identity configuration, you will see Identity v3.0.0 Beta 7. You can join or leave the beta program at any time.

What is new in Beta 7:
• A connected network now displays correctly in Sequoia. The Wi-Fi icon turns blue and remains pinned to the top of the network page.
• Updated on-screen messaging to make it easier for end users to understand.
• If no custom background image is set in the configuration, Identity defaults to the macOS wallpaper.
• Fixed an issue where the welcome message showed the username instead of the display name.

Legacy macOS Updates Removed from Addigy

On macOS 12 and later OS and supporting app updates (e.g., Safari) should be performed using the System Updates tab.

These non OS version updates are delivered via MDM commands and support authenticated reboot and hardware-specific builds from Apple.

For more control on OS version updates and upgrades, use OS Update Declarations to set enforcement times (handled by the local Updates Agent). New global settings in the latest macOS also support automatic installation and deferral options.

Identity v3.0.0 Beta 5 is the first version made available through the new beta program. This release introduces a redesigned user interface, improved messaging, expanded network visibility, and new tools for internal testing and demonstrations.

Some changes include:

Redesigned Login Experience
The login screen has been updated with a modern layout that feels native to macOS. It now follows the visual style of Addigy Assist, creating a more consistent and polished experience for end users.

Improved Action Clarity
The login interface now provides clearer guidance. Button placement and on-screen messaging are refined to improve usability.

Improved Network Status Visibility
Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection details are shown in the network preferences panel.

Clear Messaging for Locked macOS Accounts
When a user account is locked by exceeding login attempts, Identity displays a message instructing the user to contact IT.

Beta-Only Testing Tools
A hidden testing interface is added for IT admins. On the login screen, triple-clicking the version label "Identity v3.0.0 b5" opens a window with testing preferences and UI tools. This feature is only available in the beta release.

More improvements are coming soon. This version lays the foundation for upcoming enhancements as we continue testing and refining the Identity experience. Please note that macOS 26 betas are not yet supported.
